Recovery · Fort Worth

Rest is passive. Recovery is a variable you can train.

Sauna, cold plunge, red light, and PEMF, built to support how you train, work, and sleep. Not a spa day off from training. The other half of it.

You are sore for days after a hard session. You want to actually recover, not just rest. You do not know whether to plunge or sauna first. Sleep is not cutting it anymore. Your legs are still dead on leg day. You only think about recovery once you are already hurt.

Recovery is trainable.

Common reasons members use the recovery suite.

Recovery means a couch and a scrolling thumb. You want to feel ready again by tomorrow. One nagging ache that never fully goes away. You are not sure recovery is doing anything. You train hard and skip the part that makes it count. You want a real plan for hot and cold, not a guess.

Not sure what your recovery should include? That is exactly what the assessment answers.

The pattern

Rest happens to you. Recovery is something you plan.

A hard session is supposed to create stress. That is the point. What decides whether that stress turns into progress is what you do after you leave the floor. Most people's version of recovery is a couch and a scrolling thumb. That is rest. It is not built around what training actually did to your body that day.

Rest
Recovery you can plan
You collapse on the couch after a hard session.
You use tools built to support recovery instead.
You wait and hope the soreness goes away.
You plunge, sauna, or use red light on purpose.
Recovery happens by accident, if it happens at all.
Recovery is scheduled like any other session.
You guess whether it is working.
You build it into your plan and watch how you feel.
How the suite works

Four tools, one room.

Heat

Heat that gets your heart working.

Heat raises your body temperature, close to light cardio. It is designed to support circulation and help you unwind after training. Build up your time. Do not chase a record on day one.

Under one roof

Built into the club, not bolted on.

The suite is part of the club Dr. Colton Purscell built. It runs under the same roof as training, chiro, and medical, so it fits your plan instead of being sold as a spa add-on. Take a look inside.

Questions

Asked before the first visit.

Anything else, call (817) 349-7815 and ask. A person answers, not a phone tree.

What is contrast therapy? Does WLF offer it?

Contrast therapy means switching between heat and cold in the same session, usually sauna then cold plunge. WLF's sauna and cold plunge are both part of the recovery suite, so you can build a contrast session into your visit.

How often should I use the recovery suite?

It depends on your training and how your body responds. Some members use it after every hard session. Others use it a couple times a week as a reset. If you are not sure what fits, book a free 15-minute intro call and ask.

Is cold plunge safe for older adults or people with health conditions?

Cold water immersion puts real stress on your heart and blood vessels. Talk to a provider first if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, or another health concern. WLF staff can help you figure out if it is a good fit.

Do I need a membership to use the recovery suite?

Recovery suite access is included with membership, and drop-in sessions are available too if you want to try it before committing to anything.

Can I drop in for a single recovery session without booking anything else?

Yes. Sauna, cold plunge, red light, and PEMF are all built for drop-in use. Call (817) 349-7815 or book online to check same-day availability.
